Maury County has some really beautiful parks. One of my favorite hidden gems around here is Yanahli Park in Columbia, TN. It really doesn’t even feel like you’re in Middle Tennessee anymore! This park can serve as the perfect spot for your family photos.
This park is located off of Iron Bridge Road in Columbia, TN. It features an almost 2 mile long paved trail. It has the most beautiful trees lining the path! There are also restrooms onsite, which is always a plus.
If you’re okay with about a ten minute walk down the trail, you’ll find my favorite photo spot! There is a little clearing with tall grass where the sun hits it just right at golden hour. The first time I saw it, I just knew I had to bring a family out here for their photos!
On this particular day, it was actually a little overcast when we arrived to this spot. You can see the first photos featured in this blog post have more of that golden glow to them.
This is actually a really great place to bring children too. All of the space gives them the freedom to run around when they need a little break from photos. With very young children, I would suggest bringing a stroller to get them to this spot! Don’t worry, with the paved path, it’s an easy stroll.
